Tots Time Online

Tots Time Online is a weekly Zoom session for parents & carers and their babies aged 0-3 yrs. It is all about having fun, playing together and finding community with those in a similar life stage during lockdown.

Each week we spend about 15-20 mins singing, dancing and exploring a new theme. For our really little babies there's enough sensory stimulation to help them engage and for our toddlers there's lots of interaction too - plus a chance to dance and wave at their friends!

Tots Time Online is essentially a chance for parents and carers to breathe a sigh of relief. The entertainment for your little one is taken care of and you have a moment to have a chat with other adults who really understand the day-to-day joys and challenges of having small humans at home (especially during lockdown)!

So come and join in with the fun, every Thursday morning at 10am during term time. We can't wait to meet you!

Easter Experience Event

Easter is a time of celebration of new life in Jesus!

The Easter Experience will be a dramatic, interactive, multi-sensory walk-through event, loosely based on the Stations of the Cross. It will see you travel back in time to the Biblical age. You and your family will embark on an enlightening journey, following in Jesus' footsteps during his last days on Earth from Palm Sunday, right the way through to His resurrection. Come and step into the greatest story ever told.

Even though we'd love to welcome all ages to this event, we believe children aged 4 and over will be better placed to access and engage with the content and would therefore recommend leaving the little ones at home on this occasion.

Please also note we will be following Covid 19 safety measures for this event so masks will need to be worn by adults & older children, hands sanitised at each station and social distancing observed.

It will take a little under an hour for your family to complete. Hit the button below to book your entry slot. We can't wait to see you at this special event.

Who’s who?

Dani Rote-Payne

Dani leads the kids’ ministry here at Lovechurch. She has been attending St Swithun’s since 2015 and has been part of the kids’ volunteer team ever since.

When the opportunity arose, she jumped at the chance to take on this leadership role in September 2020. She is married to Rob and has two little girls Edie (5) and Mabel (2) and a cute Parson terrier called Stanley. All of whom keep her on her toes! She retrained to become a primary school teacher six years ago after a decade working in the advertising industry in London.

She continues to teach children with complex learning needs, as well as serving the wonderful families of Lovechurch.

Dani loves cinnamon buns from Bakehouse 24 in Southbourne (where she lives), Grey’s Anatomy, listening and worshipping to Elevation Worship on repeat and going on walks to Hengistbury Head with her family.

Annabelle Hooper

Annabelle is the kids’ pastor at our St Swithun’s site. She recently moved from across the pond with her British husband, Will – all the way from sunny Southern California.

Before starting this job, Annabelle was a full-time hairstylist in Newport Beach. She has also worked in kids’ ministry for about 10 years and longs for children of all ages to deeply know how loved they are by Jesus.

Moving to England for this job, wasn’t the first time Annabelle has moved long distance for kids’ ministry!

Four years ago, she did a year-long kids’ ministry internship at Causeway Coast Vineyard in Northern Ireland (where she also met Will - total bonus). Although Annabelle misses the warmth of California, she has been loving long walks in the beautiful English countryside especially in the snow! She also loves cats, Starbucks coffee and dancing!

Katy Elder

Katy is the kids’ pastor at our St Clements site. She has been a member of St Swithun’s church since the start and has been part of the kids’ volunteer team ever since.

When she first joined the church as a student, she helped out in the office before then joining the staff team in an assistant kids’ pastor role in 2017. Originally from Bucks, she’s made Bournemouth her home for the last 8 years and is still in awe of the beach being so close!

As well as working at the church, she also makes custom cakes and bakes for all occasions with her sideline Elder Bakes! If she’s not working, you’ll find her by the seaside swimming or on her paddle board.

Katy loves iced tea, exploring the Dorset coastline and games nights (when we are allowed to see all our friends in person!)
