Calling all creatives!

This October, we’re celebrating 150 years of St Swithun’s with our first Heritage Arts Festival, and we’d love to fill the building with creativity from our church community.

We're inviting local artists, makers and creatives to be part of our upcoming Arts Festival on Sunday 11th October by creating or sharing a piece of artwork for the festival.We're looking for creative pieces that celebrate the heritage of our church and the creativity that we have within our church community. This art work will then be displayed and enjoyed by our festival visitors.

Perhaps you paint, draw, photograph, stitch, sculpt, make or create in a way that’s completely your own. Maybe you have an idea that’s been sitting in the back of your mind for a while or a piece you’ve already made that you’d love to share.

This is simply an invitation to have a go. You don’t need to be a professional artist, and your work doesn’t need to be perfect. We want to celebrate the creativity that exists within our community and give people the chance to see our church, its history and its people through fresh eyes.

Your artwork will become part of the festival, displayed alongside the work of our kids in the church,  for our visitors to discover and enjoy.
